It is an exciting year for your second grader as they prepare for their First Reconciliation and First Communion. Thank you for allowing us to assist you in the religious and spiritual education of your children.
Parent participation is essential to the success of our program. You are the primary educators of your children and we encourage you to provide a good example by attending Mass, fostering a dialogue of faith, and making the time for family prayer in your home.
Classes will take place during our Family Faith Formation sessions on Sundays starting in September along with a Wednesday parent/child session. During a Sacrament year, you are required to attend both sessions, Sunday FFF sessions as well as Wednesday evening sessions. Sign ups for the Sacraments are separate. You will need to register your family for Family Faith Formation sessions as well as register your second grader for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.
A copy of your child's baptism certificate is needed showing your child was baptized catholic and can be emailed to twalton@stjohn.23.org.
Registration will close September 16, 2026 . Families are strongly urged not to delay their child’s registration.

First Reconciliation - Wednesday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m.
Dragon Slayer retreat - Saturday, April 10 from 9:00am-12:00pm in Roncalli Hall
First Holy Communion - Sunday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m.
